oh I just wanted to sure how funny Jace is:) I think he's gonna have a mix personality of Jesse and my dad..they're both pretty funny!! Two nights in a row...Jace woke me up around 4am...giggling and making noises...I go into his room and he's standing up his crib cracking up! I couldn't help but laugh and then I had to wake Jesse up so he could see...it's like he wakes up and is determined to pull up in his crib...and then goes back to sleep...I don't know why it cracks me up...maybe you have to be there to see it...he's just funny! Here's some pictures of him playing with his giant teddy bears Nana, Papa, Auntie, and Ciara got him..when Daddy put the teddy bear in his crib..he started whining at first, but then started laughing..I'm sure that looks pretty scary from a baby's view:) Anyway...he's growing up fast and we're just enjoying every moment...his 1st year birthday is coming up and we can't wait to celebrate our lil blessing:)!

Here's some pictures I tried to catch when he was crawling and pulling up....wow...I've never been so pooped...everyone is so right when they say you better be happy they're not crawling yet...b/c when they do...man it's hard work! So today he crawled all around his room...first for the drawers...which I have to nail shut..then the plugs! then the fan! oh and the rocking chair...everything is so dangerous..you really can't take your eyes off of them..man our house is so not baby friendly...we've got some work to do this weekend babyproofing everything...anyone have a coffee table they want to sell.?..mines glass!

I must say I am proud of him though and he's proud of himself...he gets so happy..and I think he stresses about it when's sleeping...like dreaming about it...he's determined to grow up...oh and now he wants to hold his own spoon when he eats like a big boy..I'm so sad...they really do grow up before your eyes:( I love my lil baby:)

We're back!!! Sorry we've been gone so long! Parenthood is busy and there's always something going on in the Salom household...no relaxing:)....Jace is sleeping and Jesse is at the Yankee/Ranger game for Paul's birthday tonight so Mommy has some down time:)! Happy Birthday Paul!!!

We've had a couple of milestones I'm so proud to announce...first

Jace went on his first trip on the airplane to Panama City, Florida!!! He was an absolute angel...good lil boy...he slept, ate, and flirted with everyone sitting around us...he's such a flirt:) He loves the attention:)

and he's stood up in his crib!!!:) and then started crawling!!! We're so proud of him!!!...he started with slithering backwards on his stomach like a snake, then would always try and pull up wherever he could, and then pulled himself him in his crib!! and then just two days ago...crawled across his room!!!! I will post pics soon! Here's some from our Florida trip.

Oh an Update!

Soooooooo....its been awhile..I feel bad because everytime I give you an update it's about him being sick...but really are babies sick this much?! Well I mean babies that go to daycare?! He now has or is on the last day hopefully of this sickness called "croupe" weird! Where do they come up with these sicknesses...anyway it's a another viral infection that closes the airways and he has to take steriods to open it back up.I have so much anxiety about him being ok..oh the worrying..I do too much of it( I get that from my mommy!) and ..poor baby he has to go through so much...please mommies out there do not take your kids to daycare if they're sick...you're just passing the misery on to everyone else!

On a better note, My first mother's day was good:) and Jace is growing up so fast...he's sitting up and now pushing forward to start crawling I think...and also taking back steps in his walker and a few front steps...big boy:)! He's also babbling alot...I could have sworn he's saying Dada and Mama when he's crying for us in his crib...hahahha...I could be imagining things....He just gets sweeter and cuter everyday..I'm enjoying him so much and such a proud mommy..I feel like I want to cry when I look at him sometimes..he just makes me so happy. He's been such a wonderful baby:) I'm looking forward to our beach vacation coming up in Florida in July! First beach time!

Hi! i wasn't sure what to title this one...so here again Jace has a fever and now what they call hand, foot, and mouth virus..it sounds nasty but supposedly it's pretty normal for kids to get this...of course he got it from daycare...he's been sick more than healthy since he started daycare I feel like! but the doctor says by the time he reaches Kindergarten he'll be the healthy, sick-free kiddo! So there is light at the end of the tunnel:)...so anyway he has sores on his throat which makes him not want to eat and really fussy..:(

.today is Ella's 1st birthday party..we're so sad to miss it! Happy Birthday Ella!

On a good note...he started eating solids prior to this sickness, he's eaten cereal, peas and sweet pototoes so far! he likes it! Some pics attached!

Seriously...my baby doesn't sleep!!!! :( but it may have to do with that he's been sick the last 4 days with a viral infection with a high fever!!!That's the worst when they're sick...up all night worried, they wake up every hour, have to keep pumping him with tylenol and he won't let me put him down...ahhhh...I love him so much but he needs to let me sleep !

I feel like all i do is drink coffee and i've turned into this grumpy old woman...his 6 month appt is coming up and we need to try really hard to fix this!

Please pray we can fix this so we can both get some decent sleep and I can become my old self again:(

Happy Easter from Jace...the picture of the Easter bunny was taken at his school....poor lil baby with his scared lil face! That was a big bunny! We had a good easter...had to split up the day b/w the families:( maybe one day we can bring everyone together...when Jesse and I start making the big bucks and we can get a big ol house:) We're just loving and cherishing every moment with our precious son...I'm definately in my element...I love being a Mommy:)! even the million diaper changes and spit up all over my shirt:)

Finally Jace and Bentley are in this world together! My bestfriend friend Dani gave birth to Bentley Michael on February 11, 2010! I'm kinda late posting this...but so excited for the Long family! I hope these boys love each other and become good friends so Me and Dani can hang out and admire our boys! That's the life for me! That's I'll I need to be happy..Family and Friends!

Happy 5 month birthday my baby! He looks like a like a lil boy already! Growing so Fast!

So we made it through the first week of daycare:) Whew...! I did take today off though to spend time with my sweet child... we had a mommy/son day...it was so nice:) The daycare is very nice and I'm very blessed to have found a place like this. The teachers are amazing...they're like lil momma hens...and they love the babies so much...they were sad when I told them he wasn't coming today:) Everytime I go there during lunch everyday:) or in the mornings or when I pick him up sometimes...the babies are always happy! That really says something about the place:) Some of the teachers have been there for like 15 years:)! So cross your fingers I can make it through week 2!

Oh and did I mention that Jace is still not sleeping through the night...:( he's sleeping right now..he goes down earlier like 7:45-8:00 but still wakes up around 2am..and then sometimes 5 or 6 am...last night it felt like every hour...if it wasn't a wet diaper..it was that he was too cold or hot...not sure but he kept whimpering...and me like a zoomie trying to figure out what the heck the problem was...everything is perfect about this sweet baby except the sleeping...oh and we need the sleep...especiallly now that I'm working! So exhausted...like I could go to sleep right now...it's 8:30pm.

oh Daycare...please help me get through this!

I just got home from dinner with some of our favorite friends and all of their precious babies and toddler..Ethan! We had such a good time...and got some wonderful news...can't share right now..it's a secret...but I wanted to comment on what's been going on....with oh daycare!

So I've been blessed with my other sister:) Marcy watching him since I've had to go back to work...and have been waiting on the church/daycare to call for an opening....and had not heard back until this week...after I put him in another daycare down the street...but he only went for three days this week...and he's starting the one I've been waiting for on Monday! So yea!...but!!!

Let me tell you...I think this was and will be one of the hardest things a parent has to do...I've never shed so many tears..to let my lil baby..my sweet baby...the beautiful son we created...given to complete strangers..for such a huge chunk of the day...I so feel and appreciate those working moms and have to keep thinking that I'm providing a life for my son...that's the only thing that gets me through this...and that I do love my job and wonderful co-workers...and that he will get to play with the other kiddos including his future wife "Ella" Kristen and Scott's sweet lil girl..they will be classmates! I pray everyday that God will watch over my sweet baby and help us be strong and get through this. I love you Jace James Salom and I cherish every moment I have with you...

So I better make this quick!:) Can't believe how busy I am! Jace just fell asleep so I have some time for some updates!

So I thought...our uncle Mike said it best....

this is the most Challenging, rewarding, difficult, and inspirationally fullfilling role of my life! (Parenthood)! and I know I will not experience anything more gratifying and meaningful than to know I am helping shape the life of another person! It is an awesome responsibility and honor and privedge we are fortunate enough to be blessed with! Yes Uncle Mike that sounds like the perfect description of parenthood.

Yes...it is true when they say sleep when the baby sleeps!...oh those sleepness nights...they're hard...the days are wonderful...I love waking up to my sweet baby...we have play time, tummy time, and massages, and exercising! Oh and we had our first smile that made our heart melt! oh he's so handsome!I'm trying to soak it all in before I return to work on Jan. 4...but blessed that my sister in law, Marcy will be watching him until the school calls for an opening...we have been on the list since I was 8 weeks pregnant!

Jace is 8 weeks, 11 pounds, 8 ounces, 23 1/2 inches...he is 50% in weight, 75% height, and 70% head...he's tall and lean with a big brain:) He has so many Jesse features! I loved it the other day...Jesse called me in the room freaking out that Jace had the exact same lines on his thumb as he did! He is so proud and honored to be Jace's father! We love him so much and thank God everyday for such a wonderful, beautiful lil boy:)

Jace James Salom Arrival!

Yeah! He's here! After some long hours of labor and then we had to have a c-section:( Jace was born on Monday, October 19, 2009, 6:29 pm, 8 pounds, 1 ounce, 20 1/2 inches long. We're blessed to have a beautiful healthy baby boy! My favorite moments were when I heard his voice or cry when he first entered this world, Daddy's first and very emotional moment with him, and finally my moment with him, they call "skin to skin bonding". I have to say this is the life I've always wished and hoped for..to have a beautiful son and wonderful husband to share it with. Jace has been a lil angel. He's very alert, makes the cutest faces and noises, and has been such a good boy with lots of patience....with us being first time parents:) We have his two week appointment today. I have a lot of questions and anxious to find out the answers! I think he's getting some of his shots today too...wish us luck..I know it'll kill us to see our lil baby in pain:(

I'm sooooo tired. I've been up since 3am watching Cosby show, Roseanne, and Married with Children...I can't seem to find any comfortable spot to sleep in...and I think I'm so freakin anxious to meet my lil baby! I keep thinking of all these things I need to do for him...I have a feeling I'm going to spoil him...:)

So they moved the due date up to Monday, October 19, the day after my Mommy's birthday! They are planning to induce at 6am so crossing my fingers he'll be born by noon! That's the mininum!! I go into the hospital on Sunday at 6pm to start the Cervidil(thinning of the cervix) and then Monday at 6am is when they start the real stuff (potocin)that will put me into Labor! Please keep us in your prayers that everyone is healthy and Labor isn't too long:(

So I thought this picture of him throwing up a peace sign was precious. He loves to wiggles his little fingers...he threw up the middle finger first and then changed it to the peace sign. I think he's letting us know to stay calm and all he wants his peace when he arrives:) We're getting so anxious!!!37 weeks...3 more weeks to go!! Jesse thinks he's coming early around October 15...but I believe he's gonna stay in there up until his due date, Oct. 21, or possibly after..but then again..not sure how much more room I have left. I'm just thankful he'll be here this month! The weekly appointments are getting so tiring...I'm currently only 1 inch dialated and 50% effaced and he's facing in the right direction...ready to go...just have to wait now!

On my way to get a much needed pedicure and a hair appt., then celebrating Jesse's 28th birthday with his bestfriends who have birthdays as well tonight...I will definately need a nap in between:(

Oh I'm soooo ready! I think I've been a trooper up until now.. it's starting to get a little hard to get around....and then why is it that when I try to catch up on my sleep on the weekends...I'm wide awake by 6:30 am!!! I guess it'll be good when he gets here but don't they say to try and get as much as rest before!!! Poor Jesse...it seems that he's getting all of my pregnancy symptoms...cravings, restless sleep, and really weird dreams! God bless him...he's been putting up with me..he's been a great husband and I know he'll be a great father!
and........
I'm also starting to feel really anxious and sometimes can feel anxiety attacks coming...I'm getting the furniture next weekend so I'm so happy I will be able to finish the room, wash his clothes, stock up on food, pack for the hospital, and many other things around the house I really wanted to do before I welcome him into this world:) I hope I can relax after that! We shall see...

34 Week Update!!

There's much to update you on!! 34 Weeks...6 more weeks! We're so excited to meet our lil Baby Jace:)Well besides having a horrible spider bite that got infected which I had to get lanced off and then catching a sinus infection from my lovely hubby...it's been so much fun to know he'll be here soon! I still have the sinus infection for the past two weeks now...Be careful pregnant women it's not fun being sick...I already can't breath b/c he seems to be sitting on my lungs but on top of it I have congestion, head cold, horrible cough and sore through...blah..so I'm constantly doing those breathing techniques throughout the day...practice for Labor day...)

We're receiving sonograms every week to monitor his heart rate... so we're able to see him and does he have a personality already! He was 5 pounds 8 ounces last week...so he's growing like a weed...it makes me feel good that he's healthy but scared for Mommy on Labor day! Let's pray everything goes ok for me:) They also say he has lots of hair!!

So attached is my lil cutie pie...these 4D pictures came out amazing! We just melted when we saw him...so precious..our lil son. It's amazing how well you can see everything lil part of him. During the sonogram he was opening his eyes and stuck his tonque out! hahah...I can already tell he has a personality like his Daddy...he's even crossing his legs like his Daddy too! Some people said he looks like me but I think he's a lil clone of his Daddy:) He already has some hair..wondering if he could turn out to be a blond...probably not..So today I'm 31 Weeks...he's about 3 pounds 8 ounces...15 1/2 inches...in the 55 percentile which is bigger than normal...9 more weeks to go! Pregnancy really does go by fast up until now...:) We're anxious to meet our son, Jace James!

We had yet another test....the glucose screening to test for Gestational Diabetes...I'm happy to say everything came back normal...whew!!! I'm so relieved! It's crazy how nervous you get when you take these tests..I just feel like I have to protect this little baby from everything. I want him to be safe, healthy, and loved. It's amazing how you start developing these parental feelings or "emotions". I would do anything for him and I know Jesse would to. Now I finally know how my parents felt when I was growing up! Always worried and would do anything for my sis and I..:)

We start going to the doctor every two weeks now so that means were getting close!:) I'm still awaiting the furniture and some other decorative items for his room...it's coming together!! Can't wait until it's complete!

We had our first couple baby shower! Marcy, my wonderful sister-in-law, my brother-in-law Chris, My mother-in-law and father-in-law Susan and Jimmy hosted it for us. It was on Saturday, July 18 at 7:00 pm filled with about 45 wonderful friends and family, yummy food, and a beautiful atmosphere! It was perfect! Jesse and I can't stop going into Jace's room and admiring all the wonderful gifts for Jace from our wonderful friends and family. We're blessed to have amazing people in our lives who already love and care so much for Baby Jace!

Other updates I have.....27 Weeks now...

I've been attending Pre-natal yoga twice a week! I'm enjoying it very much...it's a time for me and baby to bond and relax....while doing some pretty tough stretching and balancing:( It's getting easier each time I go...but you do have to leave room for baby and that get's pretty tough when you're trying to be flexible..:)

The name finally!

So we have finally decided...our baby boy's name

Jace James Salom

He will have the same initials as his daddy...JJS...James is a family name and Jace....we just like!

I recently had my 24 week appointment. Jace is doing great...he's right on schedule! Hearing the heat beat is amazing..it seems so loud and fast...but the doctor says it's normal. He's been kicking like crazy...very active! It seems like he never sleeps....everytime I'm sitting quietly, at night when I'm about to fall asleep, in the middle of the night, when I wake up..hahah..it's ok though...I don't think I could ever be mad at him:)

And finally we'll be working on the nursery this weekend...something I've been looking forward to!...the colors are light blue and chocolate brown with trains, planes, and automobiles theme. I will post pics!

Just felt the baby kick!!! and kicking as I'm writing.. I've been waiting....finally!...I'm sitting here quietly at work reading email and there he went kicking...it does feel like little flutters in your stomach....maybe because I just had lunch and drinking V8 juice...yummm!

Soooooooooooo the doctor said he's about 80 percent sure that it's a little GIRL!!!! Yeah! We'll know for sure at 20 weeks...

The pre-natal screening went great! Her weight and length is normal...so mama is eating good!We're blessed to have a healthy baby...
